The fastest way to keep hard water spotting from returning is switching the water used to clean your windows — deionized water leaves no mineral residue behind, unlike standard tap water. If irrigation overspray is the main source, adjusting sprinkler heads so they don’t hit the glass directly helps too. A recurring cleaning schedule keeps deposits from building up long enough to bond into etching in the first place.
