Exterior Windows
Exterior Window Cleaning in San Clemente
The outside of your glass takes the full hit of coastal living: salt haze, marine-layer film, Santa Ana dust and sprinkler spots. We clean it with pure deionized water so it dries clear and stays that way longer.
What Coastal Weather Does to Exterior Glass
- Salt air leaves a hazy film that dulls ocean-facing glass — see salt air and window haze
- The marine layer deposits moisture that dries into a gray film — see marine layer window film
- Santa Ana winds coat windows in fine dust in fall and winter — see Santa Ana winds and dust
- Sprinklers spray mineral-rich water that dries into white spots — see water spots from sprinklers

Our Exterior Cleaning Method
Exterior glass is cleaned with water-fed poles and deionized water, which has the dissolved minerals removed. Tap water in San Clemente is hard, so cleaning with it leaves new spots as it dries. Deionized water leaves nothing behind, which is why the result lasts. Ground-level windows may also be hand-detailed with a squeegee.
- Glass washed and rinsed with deionized water
- Exterior frames and sills brushed clean
- Screens removed, washed and reinstalled
- Upper-story glass reached from the ground with carbon fiber poles
- Final check for missed spots before the walk-through
Exterior-Only Service
Because exterior cleaning happens outside, you don’t need to be home. That makes it a good fit for busy households, vacation homes and rentals between guests. For the full picture, pair it with interior window cleaning.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be home for exterior window cleaning?
No. We only need access to the yard and exterior of the home.
Why does my glass look spotty after I hose it off?

Yes. Screens are removed, cleaned and reinstalled as part of the visit.
How often should exterior windows be cleaned near the ocean?
