Why Bay Windows Are Harder to Clean

A bay or bow window projects out from the wall, so its side panels face different directions and catch weather differently. The ocean-facing panel often has heavier salt film than the sides. Deep interior sills and built-in seats make the inside glass hard to reach, and the exterior often sits above planting beds or a slope.

How We Handle Bay and Bow Windows

• Each panel cleaned individually, since angled glass shows streaks in different light
• Water-fed poles over planting beds so we don’t step into landscaping
• Window seats and deep sills protected with towels before interior work
• Corner seams detailed where panels meet, a common spot for grime
• Roof or canopy above the bay checked for debris that washes onto the glass

Garden Windows and Box Windows

Many kitchens have small projecting garden windows with glass on the top and sides. The top pane collects the same mineral residue as a skylight. We clean all sides, and ask you to move plants and décor from inside the box beforehand.
